BirthdayCard is a program that allows you to store important dates related to people you know: for example their birthday, their wedding anniversary or other important dates. It provides a list of people who has a “special date” today (anniversary, birthday, etc), and also allows to create a birthday or anniversary card.
More information can be found in the “birthdaycard/doc/BirthdayCard.chm” file contained in the BirthdayCard-1.0-doc.tar.gz file.
Unzipping the tar.gz files:
- In Unix systems, this can be done typing “tar -xvzf xxx.tar.gz” in the command line
- In Windows it can be opened using the open-source 7-zip utility.
I was going to ask you where’s the Vista version? but I just knew you would answer with “Where’s Vista?”
In the meantime you open to suggestions? A start page showing all the events in the following week (7 days) so you have time to send an email or buy a pressie or whatever. A calander view showing month by month what events there are … an export (or better yet a sync) to your favorite calander program, able to add a photo for each person, able to add photos or a video clip from the event (particularly for weddings and parties so all the memories are in one place)
ok I’ll stop now :P:P:P:P seriously tho its a great start
